Your Weekend is celebrating the best day of the week with an update just in time for summer. Aotearoa’s much-loved weekend magazine has had a modern makeover that sees a mix of inspiring new content alongside firm favourites.

It’s the latest Life & Style title in the Stuff portfolio to be redesigned and refreshed to deliver even more value to audiences and advertisers alike.

Loyal readers will be pleased to hear Your Weekend’s Couples and Barbara’s great gardening column is staying – and they’ll be joined by some fun, new weekly features, from life hacks to people’s top tips. The lineup includes entertainment, food, decor, gardening, things to do, art, drinks, fashion, interesting people and ideas.

Editor Nyree McFarlane says, “Saturday mornings are the best because you have the whole weekend ahead of you. When I picture our hundreds of thousands of readers flipping through the pages of Your Weekend on Rāhoroi morning, I like to imagine they’re leaning into that relaxation. That’s why we’re packing the new-look Your Weekend with personalities, tips and ideas. I can’t wait for you to see it.“

The new masthead includes te reo Māori translation Rā Whakatā: a term used for the weekend but actually means, taking time to rest up, unwind and chill out. Retail therapy, a spot of gardening, entertainment, picnics or barbecues, it’s a couple of days of recreation, on your own or with whānau and friends. It’s Your Weekend, you do you.

McFarlane recently returned to New Zealand following six years in the United Arab Emirates where she was head of digital content for the Motivate Media Group and Head of Arts & Lifestyle for The National. Prior to her move to Dubai, she was Life & Style editor at Stuff

Your Weekend can be found tucked inside the pages of The Dominion Post, The Press and Waikato Times every Saturday. The first cover features Kiwi rapper Scribe. Grab a copy at newsstands or subscribe at
