We are Stuff
There’s a lot going on in Aotearoa right now. We’re a nation increasingly confident in walking our own path. No longer looking to the rest of the world for answers. Realising instead that the world is looking to us.
Stuff was brought back to New Zealand ownership with a one dollar coin, inspired by that same belief. In walking your own path. Following no one. Answerable only to the people of Aotearoa New Zealand.
That’s the path we are now on, creating a company that’s fiercely independent in its thinking and actions, with a mission to make Aotearoa a better place. Our ambition is to be more fearless, imaginative and surprising. More heartfelt and human. More of and for this place. Because we are. Choosing to partner, or not, with those who share our values. Making decisions based on what’s right, not what’s convenient. Holding the powerful to account, starting with ourselves. Rethinking every part of our business to make it more original in its perspective and more impactful in its actions.
Our vision is to become the most trusted organisation in Aotearoa, which is pretty radical in itself. But that’s because we know that without the public’s trust we have nothing. We know people can be cynical about the media and that’s why we love this as a goal, it’s not going to be easy! But with trust comes the ability to be even braver, even bolder in the impact we want to have.
Stuff’s future is more than a media company. We’re turning our business inside out, and investing in technology and innovation to enable us to meet even more audience and customer needs. Join us on the journey!
Kia tūpeke te toa.
Let the brave leap.
