We are Stuff Group
At Stuff we’re reimagining what it means to be a media company, more fearless and imaginative, more original in our perspective and more impactful in our actions. We follow no one.
We work hard to have a tangible, positive impact on the lives of all New Zealanders, through quality journalism from our editorial teams all over Aotearoa, through our live events and in our social network for good, Neighbourly.
Our Stuff Digital Ltd business is the home of the largest New Zealand website in the country,
stuff.co.nz, where live and lively news and views are delivered by some of the country’s most award-winning journalists. In July 2025, we announced that Trade Me had taken a 50% stake in this part of our business.
Our subscriber news brands include the national politics and business- focused The Post which is New Zealand’s fastest growing national news brand. The Press is the South Island’s leading digital and print news brand, the Sunday Star-Times is published weekly and we have a suite of regional news brands across the country. Our magazine division includes the luxury NZ House & Garden, New Zealand Gardener and TV Guide. Our Stuff Events team delivers the national Round the Bays fun runs in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and owns the Central District Fieldays. We publish the weekly NZ Farmer and AgTrader and we have the homegrown social network Neighbourly.
Stuff Group’s ambition is to be more fearless, imaginative and surprising. More heartfelt and human. More of and for this place. Choosing to partner, or not, with those who share our values. Making decisions based on what’s right, not what’s convenient. Holding the powerful to account, starting with ourselves.
We demonstrate this in everything we do. We’re proud of our Pou Tiaki strategy, which focuses on fair representation (including equity, diversity and inclusion) of te ao Māori as well as all marginalised cultural communities, both in and outside of our business.
Mahia te mahi hei painga mō te iwi.
Kia tūpeke te toa.
Let the brave leap.
