Samantha Hayes and key staff announced for Stuff's new 6pm bulletin

Stuff Group has revealed the initial wave of talent joining its new television news broadcast, with veteran newsreader Samantha Hayes confirmed as the solo anchor for the program launching July 6.

Six additional journalists from Newshub are transitioning to Stuff to contribute to the bulletin and across Stuff's news ecosystem. The newly hired journalists include Jenna Lynch, Laura Tupou, Ollie Ritchie, Juliet Speedy, Zane Small, and Heather Keats.

Claire Watson, a seasoned broadcast producer, takes the role of Executive Producer for the 6pm bulletin. Steve Gore-Smith transitions from Newshub's operations management to become Stuff's Director of Video Operations and Technology.

Nadia Tolich, Managing Director of Stuff Digital, highlighted the caliber of recruits and emphasized the organization's philosophy: "we are innovating not replicating" in storytelling approaches.
