New business editor appointed to The Post
Veteran business journalist Dita de Boni has been appointed Auckland Business Editor for Stuff Group’s national subscription masthead The Post.
With more than two decades of experience across digital, print and broadcast news, de Boni has spent the past five years as a Senior Reporter at National Business Review. Her appointment as Auckland Business Editor is the latest in a string of new hires Stuff Group has welcomed to bolster the newsroom of The Post and Sunday Star-Times in Tāmaki Makaurau.
The Post Editor Tracy Watkins says the masthead’s increasing popularity and subscriber base in Auckland demonstrates the interest in journalism that makes sense of the economic and political landscape.
“The Post has long been known for its exceptional reporting from the centre of it all in the Capital. Since launching digital subscriptions last year, we have been strengthening The Post’s position as a truly national news brand that delivers critical business and finance news with a lens from the corridors of power.
“Dita adds even more reporting power to our crack team of business journalists, led by Politics, Business and Economics Editor Luke Malpass. Our strengthened Auckland newsroom means subscribers can look forward to even more beautifully told stories on the issues that matter to our country’s biggest city,” says Watkins.
Other recent additions to The Post and Sunday Star-Times’ Auckland newsroom include:
- Amelia Wade, a Senior Reporter focussing on Auckland issues, who joined after serving as a political reporter for Newshub in the Press Gallery in Wellington.
- Jonathan Killick who recently joined as Senior Reporter, also focussing on Auckland issues, after making his mark at stuff.co.nz with a portfolio of exclusives.
- Business Journalist Alka Prasad who previously covered small business and retail at the New Zealand Herald and was a local democracy reporter in South Auckland for the Pacific Media Network.
