Stuff Group names new Managing Director of Stuff Digital Ltd

Two days after announcing its groundbreaking new partnership with Trade Me, Stuff Digital Ltd has a
new Managing Director - and he used to be the boss’s boss.
Owner and Publisher of Stuff Group, Sinead Boucher, says she is thrilled that Nigel Tutt is rejoining
the media company, just over a decade after he led one of the strongest periods of growth in the
digital business.

“Nigel is a hugely experienced digital media, marketing and technology leader who has a striking
combination of skills for this next era in Stuff Digital Ltd,” she says. “When he led what was then
Fairfax’s digital business where I was Stuff Editor, he spearheaded significant revenue and audience
growth through sharp commercial skills and a deep understanding of what Kiwis want.
“Since then Nigel has gone on to lead one of the country’s best digital marketing and customer
experience companies Affinity ID, which had Countdown and Kiwibank in its customer base before it
was acquired by Publicis Groupe. That unique mix of data, customer and commercial experience is
exactly the right combination for Stuff Digital with its new Trade Me partner, as we look to collaborate
on new opportunities together.

“And,” she adds, “he was a pretty awesome boss too.”
Since leaving Affinity ID, Tutt has been Chief Executive of Priority One, driving economic development
in his home region of the Western Bay of Plenty. He says he has watched Stuff Group’s rebirth under
his former employee’s ownership with delight, and now can’t wait to contribute to its next stage of
growth.

“Under Sinead's leadership, Stuff has gone from strength to strength, forging the leading position in
independent media and making bold moves at a time when the industry needs it most,” Tutt says.
“Now it's ready for its next era - one I am hugely excited to play a part in - helping all of its talented
people to flourish so that they can continue to have a positive impact in the lives of New Zealanders.”
Tutt will report into the new Stuff Digital Ltd Board, which is chaired by Boucher, with equal
representation from Trade Me and Stuff Group. He will begin his new role in August.
